SWSC is located in the beautiful town of Santa Teresa in Costa Rica, one of the best surfing destinations in the world.
We specialize in private and group surf lessons, helping people of all ages to achieve their surf goals. Our mission is to educate, inspire and empower people to a greater sense of awareness and knowledge through surfing. It is our job to help you feel comfortable, confident and have fun out on the waves!

Lesson
Our group surf lessons are 90 minutes long and include board and rash guard.
Group surf lessons always have a maximum 3:1 ratio (three students to one instructor)
Usually, instruction starts on the beach where the students learn about safety, how to balance, pop up and get comfortable with the waves. Then we head out to waist deep water where you’ll enjoy catching tons of whitewater waves and learn from one of our experienced instructors who will do their best to give you as many pointers to get you ‘popping up’ during your lesson.

Lesson
Private surf lessons are suitable for all levels, from beginner to advanced
Private lessons are always a 1:1 Ratio (one student to one instructor)
Whether you’re a total newbie who wants to improve quickly or needs some more coaching before heading to the line-up, a 90 minute private lesson is a great way to get personalized instruction. We will cater to your skill level so you can learn what you want to learn.

90 minute lesson in the whitewater. Learn about safety, how to pop-up, correct stance and how to ride whitewater waves.

90 minute lesson in the lineup (“out back”).
Take your skills to the next level and paddle out with a professional. Each 90 minute session is tailored to the surfer’s goals and abilities. Start or continue to work on maneuvers, positioning, waves selection and ability to reading the waves.

Surfboard rentals are for the full day, 7am to 10pm.
